What is a Liquid Brow Lift?

The eye area can make a world of difference in someone’s appearance, good or bad. The skin around the eyes is delicate and sensitive so it’s highly likely to show signs of aging. Crepiness, wrinkles and fine lines are all common as we age. Common, but not desired.

With the introduction of injectables, other areas of the face have become easy to enhance. We can plump the lips, fill smile lines and pump up the cheeks. A common misconception is that the eyes can only be enhanced by surgical procedures that often include downtime, bruising and stitches.

This could not be farther from the truth. Mild drooping of the brows can be solved very simply with a liquid brow lift.

Liquid brow lifts, often called chemical brow lifts, Botox brow lifts or non-surgical brow lifts, are ultra popular due to the procedural ease and lack of downtime. The liquid browlift can help bring back that youthful look you can only achieve when the brow area is more lifted, supple and taut.

At its core, this procedure aims to restore the natural arch of the eyebrow and reduce the sagging of the upper eyelids to create a more refreshed and alert appearance.

A great perk of this type of procedure is how non-invasive it is. It only takes a few minutes in Dr. Azzi’s office. You can go back to work or resume other normal activities right afterward.

Doctor Jean-Paul Azzi explains that the liquid brow lift is a subtle adjustment to the eyes, but has an beautiful impact.

“A liquid brow lift elevates the brows by injecting a neuromodulator, like Botox®, into precise muscles that work to raise and lower the eyebrows. Neuromodulators relax the orbicularis oculi, corrugator, and procerus muscles that pull the eyebrow downward. The muscles that lift the brow up, such as the lateral frontalis, can then function unrestricted. The desired effects can last up to six months.”

As with any procedure, Dr. Azzi always let his patients know what to expect. The disadvantage of a liquid eyebrow lift is that the results are temporary and are limited in how much the brow can be lifted, while a surgical brow lift procedure can lift the eyebrows up to a centimeter or more.

Doctor Azzi often performs a liquid brow lift simultaneously while he injects Botox in other areas of the face (like the forehead) as a bonus procedure for no extra charge. Aside from the lack of downtime, liquid brow lifts provide immediate results.
