VERSA™ by Revanesse® – Hyaluronic Acid Dermal Filler

The world of injectables can be hard to navigate. Over the last decade, the available options have grown dramatically. Patients rely on their doctors to know what’s best for them, but not all doctors are created equal and some don’t take the time to explain all the options to their patients.

One of the relatively newer options to the market is a filler called Versa, or officially referred to as Revanesse Versa. This particular filler is considered multipurpose and can be used to improve the appearance of multiple facial areas. Versa is best used for moderate to severe wrinkles and folds in adults 22 or older.

Doctor Jean-Paul Azzi, a double-board certified Palm Beach facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon, uses Versa because it is “very smooth and lasts longer than many other fillers.” He said, “In my experience, results last at least nine months – and in some patients, in some areas, it lasts over a year.”

He primarily uses this filler in the cheek, around the mouth and in some cases even under the eyes in the tear troughs.

Like many other fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, Belotero), Versa’s primary active ingredient is hyaluronic acid.

Unlike other fillers, though, VERSA is a homogenous filler because of the proprietary formula and wet milling technology. This means the particles of the filler are spherical, which helps create that smoothness Dr. Azzi was referring to. This is also what helped make Versa one of the fastest growing dermal fillers on the cosmetic procedure market this year.

Another reason for its growing popularity is the fact that the formula is well studied – there were over 300 patients of multiple skin types, treated in three trials and none reported serious effects.

Just like with other injectables, Versa doesn’t require you to have any downtime but in some cases, patients may experience some slight swelling and bruising.

Doctor Azzi’s beautiful offices are located in Jupiter and Palm City, Florida. These offices serve patients in the following South Florida areas and beyond: Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, Palm Beach, West Palm Beach, Tequesta, Hobe Sound, Stuart, Palm City, Jensen Beach, Vero Beach and beyond.
