Halloween is truly the official kick off of the fall season, also lovingly referred to as the onset of the holiday season. Each season is incredibly memorable for its own reasons, but one thing that often gets forgotten, that creeps its way into every season, is the end of Daylight Saving in early November. While it may slightly throw off our schedules, throwing back the hands of time is kind of nice…and this statement isn’t only applicable to your clocks.
Cosmetically, turning back the hands of time is possible with doctors like Doctor Jean-Paul Azzi – a double board certified facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon. Dr. Azzi specializes exclusively in cosmetic and reconstructive procedures of the face, nose and neck.
FILLERS:
Let’s start with fillers and other injectables. The great thing about minor procedures like these is that they’re super quick, with minimal to no downtime. The results of these types of out-patient procedures are truly incredible, though – and it makes any kind of minimal swelling or bruising #WorthIt. Injectables create a younger appearance by giving the face fullness/volume in areas where it can be lacking. They can also be used to fill in any wrinkles that may have appeared over time and can even be used as a way of lifting up or defining certain features.
BROW LIFT:
Dr. Azzi once said, “The days of making large incisions for brow lifts and even mid-facelifts are long gone.” A brow lift is another minimally invasive type of procedure that can provide a world of difference. The eyes are so, SO important to maintaining a youthful appearance because over time, as the skin loses elasticity, it can begin to sag. This sagging can create hoods over the eyes and also makes you appear tired and older. Through a few small access points within the hair, Dr. Azzi is able to raise the brow for a more elegant and alert appearance.
SKIN RESURFACING:
Of course, Daylight Savings can also act as a reminder that it’s time for a little self-love. If your skin is just not looking its best, Dr. Azzi’s offices also offer skin resurfacing including chemical peels, dermabrasion and laser resurfacing. The texture of a person’s dermis really plays a leading role in maintaining a youthful appearance. Dr. Azzi does explain that skin resurfacing is not a one size fits all kind of procedure. “I believe that each resurfacing modality can, and should, play a role in resurfacing different parts of the face. Additionally, different skin types need to be taken into consideration when choosing between dermabrasion, chemical peeling and laser surfacing,” Dr. Azzi explained.
