Revision Blepharoplasty
Patients occasionally come for consultations for “revision” upper blepharoplasty, because of their dissatisfaction with a previous procedure. Often times the complaint is regarding the lack of a shelf on the upper lid for makeup. Interestingly, this is often caused by an unaddressed or unnoticed low brow position. Secondary (revision) eyelid surgery can be very challenging and fraught with complications. These eyelid lifting procedures require very specialized training. Lower Blepharoplasty / Eyelid Lift
This plastic surgery procedure addresses the under eyes. It is done mainly to address the fat pads or "bags" that develop under the eyes over time. These undereye bags can be tremendously more aged than the rest of the face and prematurely cause a distinct mis-match in aging. There are several ways to perform a blepharoplasty, so to have the best blepharoplasty outcome possible it is important to consult a facial plastic surgery specialist. Dr. Azzi uses the most advanced techniques to not only improve the lower eyelids and remove the bags under the eyes, but he can also simultaneously lift a drooping cheek or midface. He performs this cosmetic facial procedure right in his office with minimal downtime.

During your consultation, Dr. Azzi will explain what can be realistically achieved with an upper blepharoplasty and lower blepharoplasty. He will also take the time to understand your goals and explain which technique or procedure best suits your goals and anatomy.

Not ready for a surgical procedure?
We also offer non-surgical blepharoplasty. For select patients Dr. Jean-Paul Azzi can achieve excellent results without plastic surgery. He does this in his office with minimal to no downtime using injectable fillers and/or Botox or Xeomin. For the upper eyelids, Dr. Azzi will perform his signature "liquid browlift" using Botox or Xeomin to open up the eyes and lift the bags from the droopy upper eyelids. This takes only a few minutes and requires no downtime. For the lower eyelids, Dr. Azzi can achieve blepharoplasty like results in select patients using a filler such as Belotero or Restylane. Injecting these fillers in the correct areas and in the correct levels can create the illusion that the bags under the eyes were removed. This gives patients an immediate result and helps them to stop looking tired and aged.
